EVERYDAY VICTUAL by Pastor Michael Ishaku

Philemon 1:14 But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

The mind of a man is a world of its own. That’s where the thought process occurs. It is the place of memory, reasoning and decisions. When you remember anything from the past, it is your mind. When you are able to understand and comprehend things, it is your mind. When you make choices, it is your mind.

It is a function of the brain. The condition of the brain is what determines the state of the mind. That’s why any challenge with the brain affects the proper functioning of the mind. If the brain suffers any kind of damage, the mind is at risk of not operating optimally. I command healing for every such abnormality in Jesus name.

The mind is very important to everything we do, especially our relationship with God. Ephesians 5:17 asks us to be wise and understand the Will of God. Wisdom and understanding are all dependent on the mind. You can’t be wise and have good understanding without good reasoning.

This is one of the reasons we have the Holy Ghost. So that we can have the spirit of a sound mind (2 Tim 1:7); so that we can have the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16). Our mind is very crucial to our spiritual condition as today’s verse clearly shows us. God depends on our minds in order to perform in our lives.

It is therefore important to keep a very healthy mind. In order to enjoy God’s best for our lives, we must ensure that our minds are constantly occupied with the right things. Avoid negativity and evil thoughts. Meditate on God’s Word and promises. If your mind is stayed on God, the enemy will be helpless concerning you (Isaiah 26:3).

Prayer – Lord, thank you for giving me the spirit of a sound mind of Christ. I am healed of every wandering mind. I take grace to occupy my mind with Your Word.
