Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
There are few things that satan hates like to see a man growing in his faith. He is terrified when he realizes that your faith is maturing daily, because that is a sign that his reign over your life is ending permanently. It is through faith that we are able to quench all his arrows against us (Eph 6:16).
This is why he goes on an all-out war against your faith. He will keep you from studying the word. He will bombard your mind with arguments and reasonings that are contrary to the knowledge of God, so that even if you do read the word, it will not produce faith. He wants your faith to remain stagnated.
Jesus showed us this in His prayer for Peter in today’s verse. The Master, who was constantly working to build the faith of His disciples, prayed for Peter that his faith will not fail. Why? Because faith-failure is life-failure. The strength of a life is determined by the strength of its faith.
No matter the challenges, if faith isn’t affected, destiny is secure. It is like a boat going through a storm; no matter the severity, the boat is safe as long as water doesn’t get in. If your faith is intact, there’s nothing the enemy can do about you. He will bring his fiercest attack against you but you will still be standing strong.
You can lose anything; don’t lose your faith. I don’t care what satan steals from you. If he can’t steal your faith, he is just wasting his time. Never stop believing that God loves you and He wants the best for you. Never stop believing that God cares about you and He’s working things out for your good. Never stop believing God’s promises to you in His Word. In Jesus name:
- Your faith will never suffer a wreck.
- You will always grow and be strong in your faith.
- The forces that want you or your family to fail will never prosper.
Prayer – Lord, I know Jesus is still praying for my faith today like He did for Peter. Thank you because I know that as I walk with You, my faith will never fail.
